13U Fall Ball 2009 News and Highlights

September 5, 6, 7, 2009 - TABU 13u WIN LABOR DAY TOURNEY AND REMAIN UNDEFEATED!!!! 

TABU 13u go 5-0 to win the Championship of the NorCalTravelball Labor Day Tournament.  TABU outscores opponents 39-8 to win the Premier/Major Division at Manteca Big League Dreams.  TABU utilized 11 different pitchers to close out their 2nd straight championship of the young fall season.  

Aug 22 - 23, 2009 - TABU 13u WIN 1st TOURNEY OF FALL SEASON

The TABU 13u Team invaded Twin Creeks to play in the 13u Open USSSA Tourney Aug 22-23.  The roster changed a bit from the Spring/Summer season but TABU keeps on rolling.  The team outscored opponents 37-3 while going a perfect 4-0 and winning the Championship.  TABU began pool play with a 9-0 win over the San Jose Mustangs.  TABU's offense started a bit slow but got going in the 2nd inning before the run shortened 5 inning game.  TABU then took on the ASA Vikings in a late night affair (9:45 p.m. start time).  TABU again took an early lead with the bats getting hotter as the innings went on.  Again, this game was completed in a shortened game by a score of 16-1.  With the #1 seeding TABU would have a 1st round bye before facing off against the ASA Vikings again in the semi's.  TABU would get the better of the Vikings in a 9-1 victory that propelled TABU to the championship game to face off against the Rakers.  The championship was a very well played game on both sides with the Rakers taking an early 1-0 lead before TABU was able to string together a rally to take a 2-1 lead.  TABU would then add an insurance run in the 6th inning en route to the win 3-1.
